L’Istituto per la Competitività, I-Com, ha aderito al Global Trade and Innovation Policy Alliance, una rete internazionale di think tank che si dedica alla promozione della liberalizzazione del mercato, frenando il cosiddetto “mercantilismo dell’innovazione” e incoraggiando i governi a ricoprire ruoli proattivi nel sostegno all’innovazione e alla produttività. L’obiettivo dell’Associazione è rifuggire da un lato il liberismo estremo, che nega un ruolo attivo ai governi, e dall’altro il populismo anti-globalista.
Con l’ingresso di I-Com, l’Alleanza conta oggi 19 membri: Bay Area Council Economic Institute (USA), C.D. Howe Institute (Canada), Center for Global Enterprise (USA), Center for Social and Economic Research (Polonia), Competere (Italia), Free Market Foundation (Sud Africa), Fundación Idea (Messico), Geneva Network (UK), ICRIER (India), Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (USA), The Legatum Institute (UK), The Lisbon Council (Belgio), Macdonald-Laurier Institute (Canada), Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology Policy (Cina), Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis (Svezia), Taiwan Institute for Economic Research (Taiwan), Taiwan Research Institute (Taiwan), TicTac de la CCIT (Colombia).

I-Com today announced that it is joining the Global Trade and Innovation Policy Alliance, an international network of think tanks dedicated to promoting greater trade liberalization, curbing “innovation mercantilism,” and encouraging governments to play proactive roles in spurring innovation and productivity. The aim of the Alliance is to avoid on the one hand the extreme liberalism, which denies an active role to governments, and on the other hand, anti-globalist populism.
With I-Com, the Alliance now has 19 members: Bay Area Council Economic Institute (United States), C.D.
