Lunedì 25 luglio si è svolto il terzo evento pubblico della seconda edizione di ORTI sul tema L’EMILIA-ROMAGNA CHE COLLABORA. Imprese ed amministrazioni territoriali alleate per lo sviluppo e l’innovazione.

L’evento si è tenuto a Bologna presso l’Aula Magna della Regione Emilia-Romagna in Viale Aldo Moro 30 dalle ore 16.00 alle ore 19.00.

E’ stato presentato un report sull’economia emiliano-romagnola e sui rapporti tra imprese e territori. Lo studio fornisce un outlook sulla capacità di attrazione degli investimenti, sul grado di innovazione dell’industria regionale e lo stato di reti e infrastrutture. Il report I-Com contiene inoltre alcuni focus dedicati alle buone prassi di trasparenza e partecipazione di cittadini e imprese al processo decisionale, ai progetti di riqualificazione territoriale, e alle esperienze di successo nei rapporti fra imprese e amministrazioni.

Al dibattito sono intervenuti amministratori locali regionali e comunali, imprenditori e manager locali e nazionali oltre che parlamentari e rappresentanti della società civile.

Alle Elezioni politiche italiane del 2013 viene eletta Senatore della Repubblica Italiana.

Site Relations Manager dal 2011, segue la comunicazione per gli stabilimenti BASF di Pontecchio Marconi in provincia di Bologna e di Mortara in provincia di Pavia. Dal giugno del 2008 al dicembre del 2010 è stato Communication Manager per Gambro occupandosi per l’azienda specializzata nelle tecnologie mediche, della comunicazione interna, delle relazioni con i media e con i sindacati. Prima dell’esperienza alla Gambro è stato Senior Account di Homina PDC.

From 1999 to 2006 he was an alderman in the Municipality of Modena with a delegation to Public Works, Heritage and The Historic Center and previously served as an alderman for Youth Policies, Culture, Sport and Leisure in the Municipality of Campogalliano. City councillor in Modena from 2009 to 2010, when he was elected regional councillor of Emilia-Romagna. There are many positions in the National and Regional Pd, of which he is regional secretary. He was elected President of the Emilia-Romagna Region on 23 November 2014.

Since 1992 he has been Director General of ASTER – Science, Technology, Enterprise. Since 2004 he has been President of the SPINNER Consortium, services and enhancement of human capital for the promotion of innovation and research. Former European Commission expert at DG Research. From 2008 to 2013, the Advisory Board of the TTVenture Fund - Foundation SGR was a member. From 2007 to 2012 Director and technology transfer expert of CRS4, a research and development company for computing and advanced computing. Italian representative for the year 2010 of the Advisory Group – of the Enterprise Europe Network. From 2009 to 2013 Director of HOLOSTEM Advanced Therapies. Since 2011 he has been a spokesperson for the National Steering Group of the Enterprise Europe Network and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Metropolitan Strategic Plan in Bologna. From 2007 to 2010 he was a member of the Ministry's Industrial Policy Experts Core. Since May 2013 he has been An Advisor for Industrial Policy of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Economic Development, and coordinates, among other things, the National Pharmaceuticals Table.

Mayor of the municipality of Cervia since 2014, he has graduated in Economics and Business Management. In 2009-2010 he was part of the board of the Cervia Centre Consortium, which associates operators in the area. From 2010 until 2014 he was an alderman of the Municipality of Cervia with delegations to economic, productive and employment development, saline, transport and participating companies, tourism policies and territorial marketing, coordination of events and image, maritime property, Porto.

Emilio CONTI
Environmental communication IULM University lecturer and consultant Public Affairs Advisors

Bio

For more than twenty years, he has been consulting business in the areas of corporate communication, public relations and institutional and industrial relations. He teaches Environmental Communication at IULM University in Milan. Among the creators and organizers of the Energy Festival and NimbyForum, the first permanent media observatory on environmental and territorial conflicts, of which he was the Chief Scientific Officer until February 2012.

Since 2012 he is Terna's Director of Network Development, after being Director of Institutional Affairs (2005-2011). Previous positions include the Directorate of Institutional Relations of the S.p.A. National Transmission Network Manager and the Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce. He was also a member of the Technical Advisory Committee for the examination of promotional programmes and initiatives at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Gas Emergency Committee" at the Ministry of Economic Development. Since 2010 he has been coordinator of the Energy Infrastructure Committee of Confindustria and since the following year a member of the ANIE Association.

President of I-Com, Institute for Competitiveness, think tank he founded in 2005, with offices in Rome and Brussels (www.i-com.it). Lecturer in political economics and economic policy at Rome Three University. He is a member of the scientific committee of several institutions and initiatives. He is the author and editor of numerous publications on economic issues. He has held study and consulting positions for Italian and international public institutions, including the Senate of the Republic, the Department for Community Policy, the Ministry of Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and the OECD, leading Italian and foreign companies and non-profit organizations.

Raffaele DONINI
Assessor for Transport, Infrastructure Networks, Territorial Planning and Digital Agenda Emilia-Romagna Region

Bio

Freelance journalist. In 1995 he was elected mayor of Monteveglio, a post he held for the next ten years (reconfirmed in 1999). He presides over the region's first Union of Municipalities, which brings together the six administrations of the Samoggia Valley. Provincial councillor since 2005 and re-elected in 2009. In 2014 he was appointed Assistant Commissioner for Transport, material and intangible infrastructure networks, territorial planning and digital agenda of the Emilia-Romagna region.

Bio

Elected Mayor of the Municipality of Forlì in 2014, he graduated in geological sciences from the University of Bologna in 1990. From 2009 to 2014 he served as Assessor of welfare of the Municipality of Forlì.

Daniele MANCA
Mayor of Imola and President of ANCI Emilia-Romagna

Bio

He has been Mayor of Imola since 2008 and President of Anci Emilia-Romagna. He began his political activity at the age of 21, in 1990, when he was elected city councillor in Dozza. After being appointed in 1992 As Councilor for Urbanism, Sport and Youth Issues, in 1994 he was elected Mayor of the Municipality. Between 1999 and 2004 he also served as a provincial councillor in Bologna. In the 2004 local elections he was elected as a municipal councillor in Imola and in 2005 he became a regional councillor.

Virginio MEROLA
Mayor of Bologna

Bio

Born in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, he graduated from the "Minghetti" Classical High School in Bologna. He later received his bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Bologna. From 1995 to 2004 he served as President of the Savena District of Bologna. At the same time, he was a Provincial Councillor from 1995 until 1999. In 2004 he was elected to the City Council, taking on the role of Assessor to Urbanism and the House until 2008. In 2009 he became President of the Provincial Council, a post he left in March 2011 to run for Mayor of Bologna. On 15 May of the same year he won the municipal elections, thus being elected the first citizen of the capital of Emilia-Romagna. In 2016 he was confirmed as Mayor of Bologna for a second consecutive term. Since January 1, 2015, he has been Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Bologna.

Franco MOSCONI
Professor of industrial economics, University of Parma

Since 2002 he has been Associate Professor of Industrial Economics at the University of Parma, where he teaches both the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Political Science. Since 2003 he has been teaching European Industrial Policy at the Advanced Diploma and Master in European Studies (ADES) of the European College of Parma, and Economics of The Media at the Ilaria Alpi Higher School of Journalism at the University of Bologna. He has been teaching at a number of postgraduate institutions, including ISPI (Milan) and ALMA Gradute School (Bologna). Member of the Scientific Committees of the European College Foundation of Parma and Monte University Parma Publisher. From June 1996 to October 1998 he was Economic Adviser to the President of the Council of Ministers, Romano Prodi, while from May 1999 to May 2001 he was an official of the European Commission. From 2006 to 2008 he was Chief Scientific Officer of the Office of Studies of UniCredit Bank, Bologna. Since 1997 he has written about 200 editorials in newspapers and periodicals, national and local and since April 2007 he has been a columnist for Corriere di Bologna.

Bio

An electronic engineer, he specialized professionally in the medical device industry. From 2001 to 2008 he worked at Sorin Group, holding various top positions. In January 2009 he was general manager of Bellico, of which, a year later, he became CEO. Former President of the Health Commission of Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, in June 2011 he was appointed President of Assobiomedica, a position he held until June 2015. He is currently in CID, a company specializing in the production and export of medical devices in the cardiovascular field, born in 2008 from a spin off of Sorin Group.

Gianluca SGUEO
Director of the I-Com Institutions Area

Bio

Graduated in Law from the University of Rome and in Public Administration Science from the University of Viterbo, in 2009 he obtained a PhD in administrative law. He is Professor in Media, Activism & Democracy at New York University – Florence and Professor in Global Advocacy at Vrije Universiteit in Brussels. In the past he has held the positions of legal consultant, communication specialist and communication coordinator of Palazzo Chigi. Since 2010 he has been a post-doc researcher at the Center for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and since December 2014 he has been appointed Policy Analyst at the European Parliamentary Research Service. He is the author of numerous scientific publications in Italy and abroad (www.gianlucasgueo.it).

Professore ordinario di Politica economica presso la Facoltà di Economia dell'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, sede di Piacenza, dal marzo 2005. È stato dal 2008 al 2012 Direttore del Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche e Sociali ed è attualmente Direttore del Centro Studi di Politica economica e monetaria CESPEM "Mario Arcelli". È direttore dal 2003 del Master in Marketing Territoriale della Facoltà di Economia dell'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza e Cremona.
