The closed-door roundtable “SMART CONSUMERS: What empowerment from digital tools?”, organized by the Institute for Competitiveness, took place on Tuesday July 10 at Science 14 (Rue de la Science 14b Brussels), 5 pm to 7:45 pm. The roundtable focused on a variety of topics associated with contemporary trends in consumer empowerment: the development of customer care solutions, with their benefits and limitations; the penetration of E-commerce services in Europe; and the legislative framework that is emerging in the context of the development of the digital single market.
