“FINE-TUNING THE AI ACT. Definitions, high-risk applications and conformity assessments”. This is the title of the Power Breakfast held on February 8 by the Institute for Competitiveness, with guest speakers Ms Lucilla Sioli (DG CONNECT), MEP Brando Benifei, and Mr Carlos Romero Duplà (Spanish Perm Rep).

The Power Breakfast aimed to foster the debate on the issues which – despite the progress – continue to heat the debate on the proposed AI Regulation. Specifically, the discussion will focus in particular on the definition of high-risk AI technology and its specific requirements, as well as on the conformity procedures.

After the guest speakers delivered their speeches, a participated Q&A session with participants followed before the final remarks. Attendees to the event included representatives from the industry, trade & consumers associations as well as NGOs and members of the institutions.

As per its format, the Breakfast was held under the Chatham House rule.
