On Thursday 21 September 2023, I-Com hosted a Power Breakfast on the topic of Digital Markets Act (DMA). The event saw the participation of Andreas Schwab, MEP, Rapporteur on DMA, IMCO Committee and Denis Sparas, Deputy Head of Unit Digital Markets, DG CONNECT, European Commission.
Focused on the main practical challenges and potential solutions to effectively implement Article 7 of the DMA, the discussion has delved into the difficulties of finding the ideal balance between maintaining standards of service integrity, user protection and effective interoperability, while granting interoperable basic functionalities of number-independent interpersonal communications services in the Union.
