On Wednesday 11 October, I-Com – The institute for Competitiveness hosted its annual Symposium at its premises in Avenue des Arts 50, in Brussels. This year’s symposium is titled “EU’s competitiveness formula: brainstorming ahead of 2024 elections”.

Throughout the day, during three different panel sessions, our researchers presented I-Com 2023 Study. The document provides a comprehensive state of the art of the dossiers analyzed by the Institute during this year, as well as policy food for thoughts and work in view of the next EU legislative term.

Aim of the event was to sketch a specific competitiveness agenda with the principal long-term goal of enhancing the EU’s competitiveness as well as the bloc’s sustainable economic growth and social cohesion.

Session III encompassed some of the main regulations that are being updated at European level about the green transition, providing relevant data on the state of the art on demand and supply of key green technology, energy efficiency and market prices of electricity.
