DIGITAL<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday 15 September.<\/strong> In Strasbourg, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen<\/strong> will present the initiative on child safety online, aimed at strengthening the protection of children and teenagers in the digital environment and addressing risks linked to the use of online platforms and services.<\/p>\n Thursday 17 September.<\/strong> On the same topic, plenary is expected to vote on the report on the impact of social media and the online environment on young people, with Sandro Ruotolo<\/strong> (S&D\u2013Italy) as rapporteur. The file addresses the effects of the digital ecosystem on the wellbeing, safety and participation of children and young people.<\/p>\n SUSTAINABILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n Monday 14 September.<\/strong> Plenary will hold a debate on the extension of the scope of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism to downstream goods and anti-circumvention measures. The rapporteur is Mohammed Chahim<\/strong> (S&D\u2013Netherlands). On the same day, MEPs will also debate the establishment of the Temporary Decarbonisation Fund, with Pascal Canfin<\/strong> (Renew\u2013France) as rapporteur, and the file on the market stability reserve for the EU ETS, with ENVI Chair Pierfrancesco Maran<\/strong> (S&D\u2013Italy) as rapporteur.<\/p>\n Monday 14 \u2013 Tuesday 15 September (Dublin).<\/strong> The informal meeting of EU ministers responsible for cohesion policy will take place, chaired by Irish Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation Jack Chambers<\/strong>. The meeting will focus on the future of cohesion policy, the EU\u2019s main investment strategy to reduce economic, social and territorial disparities across regions. Ministers will discuss the future design, funding and implementation of cohesion policy beyond the current budgetary period, ahead of the 2028\u20132035 programming cycle.<\/p>\n Wednesday 16 September.<\/strong> In plenary, two votes are expected on files related to nuclear safety and decommissioning. The first concerns the Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation and Decommissioning for the period 2028\u20132034, with Sophie Wilm\u00e8s<\/strong> (Renew\u2013Belgium) as rapporteur for the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). The second concerns the assistance programme for the decommissioning of the Ignalina nuclear power plant in Lithuania for the period 2028\u20132034, with Virginijus Sinkevi\u010dius<\/strong> (Greens\/EFA\u2013Lithuania) as rapporteur for ITRE.<\/p>\n HEALTH<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday 15 September.<\/strong> Plenary is expected to vote on the report on an EU health workforce crisis plan, with a focus on the sustainability of healthcare systems and employment and working conditions in the sector. The file is jointly led by the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL) and the Committee on Public Health (SANT), with Loucas Fourlas<\/strong> (EPP\u2013Cyprus) and Ruggero Razza<\/strong> (ECR\u2013Italy) as rapporteurs.<\/p>\n Wednesday 16 September.<\/strong> Plenary will vote on the European strategy for cardiovascular diseases, with Romana Jerkovi\u0107<\/strong> (S&D\u2013Croatia) as rapporteur for the Committee on Public Health (SANT). On the same day, the European Parliament will also vote on the report on gender inequalities in health, specifically as regards gender-specific conditions. The rapporteur is Billy Kelleher<\/strong> (Renew\u2013Ireland), for the Committee on Women\u2019s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM).<\/p>\n OTHER EVENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday 15 September.<\/strong> Plenary will hold the State of the European Union debate, with an address by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen<\/strong>. The speech will be one of the main political moments of the institutional restart, taking stock of the Union\u2019s priorities and outlining key initiatives expected in the coming months.<\/p>\n On the same day, the European Commission will present the Fair Labour Mobility Package, under the responsibility of Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness Roxana M\u00eenzatu<\/strong>.
