The Institute for Competitiveness (I-Com), in collaboration with Open Gate Italia (OGI), hold its latest Policy Breakfast on Thursday 3 October, at its Brussels premises.
The event, titled “Cloud Regulation to Accelerate the Digitalization of Businesses and Public Administrations and Enhance EU Competitiveness” gathered Italian Members of the European Parliament, experts, representatives from Italy’s Permanent Representation to the EU, key cloud service providers, and organizations representing businesses using cloud services.
The discussion, launched by the presentation of a comprehensive document prepared by I-Com researchers and Open Gate representatives focused on the evolving regulatory landscape for cloud computing in Europe and its potential impact on the digital transformation of businesses and public administrations. The conversation also touched on the broader implications for the competitiveness of both the European and Italian economies.
Drawing insights from the European Commission’s White Paper on the future of electronic communications and the recent Draghi Report on European competitiveness, the event highlighted the benefits of network virtualization, enhanced connectivity, and digital transformation.
The Policy Breakfast proved to be a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and debate, contributing to a deeper understanding of how cloud regulation can drive Europe’s digital future.
