Cookies are small text files that web applications send to website visitors for different reasons.

Cookies may be classified according to various criteria:

  • A site that generates them: First Party cookies, directly installed by the operator of the website you are visiting, and Third-Party cookies, set by a different website which the user is visiting;
  • Purpose of use: Technical cookies, aimed at managing technical aspects which are necessary to provide a service requested by the user, such as browsing a website, managing a user session or automatically recognising the preferred language. Analytical cookies, used to collect information on the number of users and how they visit the website and, therefore, to process general statistics on the service and its use. Profiling cookies, used to analyse the user’s browsing characteristics and create profiles from their behaviour on the site.
  • Duration: permanent cookies, permanently stored in the device, temporary cookies, with limited and variable duration, and session cookies, which disappear when the browser is closed or the user logs out.

COOKIES MANAGEMENT

Notwithstanding the above-mentioned  whereby cookies are vital to navigation, the user can delete, modify and disable other cookies through the functionality made available for this purpose by the Joint Owner through this policy or directly through their browser.

By default, almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. By changing the settings of the browser used, the user can decide to make the installation of any type of cookie subject to its consent or to completely hinder their installation. The configuration of each browser is different.

Below are the most used browsers where you can learn about the various ways of managing cookies:

We also remind the user that many browsers allow anonymous browsing.

MANAGEMENT METHOD OF CONSENT AND REFUSAL OF COOKIES

When the user enters the website, they can express preferences regarding various typologies of cookies using the popup banner displayed on the website pages. These preferences will be registered in compliance with the provisions on the applicable processing of personal data. Diverse typologies of cookies are identified and classified based on the objectives for which the cookies are released and used, making their recognition easier and immediate.

In particular, when the user enters the website, through the banner popup they may choose to:

  • refuse cookies, except technical ones, by clicking on the “Continue without consent” button;
  • choose which categories of cookies to accept or reject based on the purposes, or based on the third party, by selecting or deselecting them individually, by clicking on the “Choose and customize” button;
  • accept the installation of all categories of cookies by clicking on the “Accept all” button.

HOW TO MODIFY CHOICES OF COOKIES THROUGH THE SITE

If the user has not given their consent or provided it only for the use of some cookies, the banner will not be resubmitted, except for specific cases:

  • when one or more processing conditions change significantly, for example “third parties”;
  • when it is impossible for the provider to know if a technical cookie has already been placed on the user’s device (e.g., if the user themselves delete the cookies);
  • when at least six months have passed since the previous presentation of the banner.

Therefore, if the user wants to change their options and does not view the popup banner by accessing the site, the user can do so at any time by accessing the Edit privacy settings section also present in the site footer.

CHANGES TO THE COOKIE POLICY

This Cookie Policy may undergo changes over time, also due to the possible entry into force of new sector regulations, and the update or supply of new services or technological innovations. These changes will always be published on this page, thus users are invited to consult it periodically.

The policy was updated on 26/07/2022
