On October 15, I-Com Brussels hosted a policy breakfast bringing together European Commission representatives, experts, and stakeholders for a focused discussion on the role of simplification in strengthening EU competitiveness.
The conversation explored how regulatory simplification can enhance Europe’s economic performance and innovation capacity — with particular attention to the digital domain. In this regard, the event was also timely, coinciding with the final stages of the consultation processes on the Digital Omnibus and the Digital Fairness Act, which further enriched the debate and underscored the relevance of the discussion.
Speakers discussed how to streamline existing legislation, reduce administrative burdens, and ensure that simplification efforts translate into real benefits for businesses and citizens across the Single Market.
